Description

Associated to the remote-controlled meter and concentrator testing lab, a microgrid is installed with different micro-generation systems and some available loads that are not crucial to the building’s regular consumption, for the purpose of tests, trials and analysis. Protocol and sup- port tool analysers are available, as is a dedicated remote management system.

Services offered
 
These facilities are mainly used:
  • To test the developments or protoypes arising from collaboration projects in which GNF-UFD is involved.
  • To test products before approval for installation in the grid (electric distribution products) and/or to discover their effect on the grid (products installed at the customer’s end).
  • Especially, to conduct tests and certifications on PRIME functionalities in manufac- turer equipment prior to implementation in the grid.
The lab is initially intended for the private use of GNF-UFD. However, the possibility of ope- ning it up to third parties as a PRIME equipment certification lab is being considered.
