Description
The CNH2-M2 microgrid is an isolated grid that is interconnected by a 48V direct current bus. It is feed with a programmable power supply. It has an energy storage system using lead batteries and compressed hydrogen storage. It also has a programmable electronic load in order to provide different demand profiles.

Services offered

The CNH2-M2 microgrid offers to the scientific and technological sector the posibility to research with this type of configurations. Because it is a testing platform, it enables experiments on hydrogen systems as well as on micro- grid components and tools. It is open to companies and entities for experimen- tation and validation of control, opera- tion and predictions models.

[1] It is understood that managed power that is able to manage the control of the infrastructure. In laboratories without physical equipment (simulators, systems) This field does not apply.
[2] Microrred function if there are loads in the same location, generators and optionally storage, with integrated management of the whole.

  • Project SINTER (Sistemas inteligentes estabilizadores de red) Call: Extraordinary call in 2009 for the granting aid under the Singular and Strategic Subprogram with cooperative demonstration and efficient use of energy, according to the actions included in Plan E 2009. Funder: Ministry of Science and Innovation and European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). File Number:   PEN-120000-2009-14
  • Project Objective: The SINTER (Intelligent systems to stabilize electrical grids) are integrated systems of renewable energy sources (photovoltaic and wind generators) and hydrogen-generating devices used to stabilize weak or saturated power grids and to make renewable energy sources available to stabilize power supply even in small isolated grids. These systems have the mission of guaranteeing the quality and security of the electrical supply. Moreover they have to be able to work isolated to provide power supply to a small group of customers, industries or rural area. Participating entities: Inycom, Fundación CIRCE, Fundación Hidrógeno Aragón, ADES, Ciemat-Ceder, CNH2. Duration: 2009-2010.
  • Project PSEH2RENOV (Proyecto Singular Estratégico de Hidrógeno Renovable) - Subproyec Hydrocasa Call: Call for grant aid from the Singular and Strategic Projects Subprogram of 2009,  approved by orderCIN/1657/2009. Funder: Ministry of Science and Innovation, Castilla-La Mancha Government and European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). File Number: PSE-120000-2009-3.
  • Project Objective: The objective of the subproject is hydrogen production via alkaline electrolysis in a low power renewable micro red with renewable wind and photovoltaic systems and with an auxiliary elec- trical storage in batteries and supercapacitors.
